In 2007, Julian Wilson regularly began pulling off a highly technical aerial maneuver he called the "sushi roll." While surfing backside, Wilson would launch, grab his board with both hands, lift his feet off the deck, and complete a 360-degree rotation before placing the board back under his feet and landing.
